Juventus not ready to give up on Schalke star

Juventus have still not given up hope of signing Schalke star Julian Draxler despite director general Giuseppe Marotta cancelling his visit to Germany as the Bundesliga club have rejected another bid for their talented winger.

The 21-year-old has been identified by the Bianconeri coach Massimiliano Allegri as the player to unlock opposing defences and fill the gap left in the Juventus midfield following the departures of Arturo Vidal to Bayern Munich and Andrea Pirlo to New York City FC.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, The Old Lady will take some time to reflect on their failed bid before deciding if an improved offer for the German international is in the best interests of the club.

Alternative options for the Champions League runners-up include Bayern’s Mario Gotze and Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil, both international teammates of Draxler.
