Reports in Italy suggest that Lazio have now switched their attentions to Cedric Bakambu of Buraspor, after negotiations with Fabio Borini’s agent stalled.
The Biancocelesti have been linked with a number of forwards so far this summer, including Alexandre Pato, as they look to add depth to their squad, ahead of a campaign which includes Champions League football.
The capital club looked close to a deal with Liverpool’s Fabio Borini, however according to Il Messaggero, negotiations with the Italian’s agent have stalled and the Rome-based outfit are now looking at Cedric Bakambu as an alternative.
The 24-year-old French striker started his career at Sochaux, but moved to Turkish club Buraspor at the beginning of last season. Bakambu, who can play in both wide positions, made a decent start to his career in Turkey scoring 13 goals in 27 appearances last season.
