Fabio Borini’s agent, Marco de Marchi, admitted to the difficulty of a Liverpool exit but stressed the importance of the Italian’s future choice.

Borini has been sidelined for some time now, with the club even attempting to sell him last summer.

With little playing time and the arrival of new players, the Merseyside club’s intentions of releasing the Italian have been well documented by now.

In a short interview, Marchi mentioned Lazio as one of the reportedly interested parties, but maintained that a prominent role for Borini at his new club will be their priority.

“It is a particularly sensitive time for Borini right now,” Marchi said on CalcioMercato.it.

“There are many offers coming in, including from Lazio.

“Out of respect for the club [Liverpool] and the teams who have shown interest however, it is best not to name names.

“Borini must make the right choice and we do not have any real preferences; Borini simply wants a team that will assure him of a central role in their project.”

This isn’t the first time the 24-year-old’s agent has spoken about the player’s wishes to leave, imploring last month for his client to be released from his “Liverpool cage.” The Italian forward has himself confirmed this, expressing his unhappiness and wishes to leave Merseyside.
