The Gialloblu went bankrupt following the conclusion of the 2014/15 Serie A season, and as a buyer for the club couldn’t be found, they were demoted to the lower reaches of the Italian football pyramid, but captain Lucarelli insists he will stay with the team.
“Unforunately, there were few rewards this year,” the 37-year-old told Mediaset Premium. “But beating Juventus was one of them.
“Parma must restart and rebuild. I have said I am willing to stay in Serie D.
“I am just waiting to see what happens, but I have told the club I am available.”
Lucarelli joined Parma in 2008 from Genoa, and went on to make over 230 appearances for the now defunct side.
