Shakhtar Donetsk coach Mircea Lucescu has revealed that AC Milan are closest to signing striker Luiz Adriano.
The 28-year-old Brazilian international is certain to leave the Ukrainian giants after nine seasons with the club in order to try a new experience.
The player already rejected a move to Ah Ahli last week as his preference is to continue in Europe, while Roma are also vying for his signature.
“At the moment, the team closest to the player is Milan, but there are many who want him as well,” Lucescu told Centro Suono Sport.
“For the time being Luiz Adriano is one of our players, he is part of our group and we will see what will happen.
“I would not let him go, it’s been eight years he has been here, I met him at 18 years old, but it is right that he decides his own future.”
