Edin Dzeko Manchester CitySerie A side Roma are doing all they can to bring Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko to Italy, after already having lost out on other players this summer.

The Giallorossi hierarchy are still smarting after having failed to land Sevilla’s Carlos Bacca, who agreed to sign for rivals AC Milan despite a concerted effort by the club to convince the Colombian to join the Stadio Olimpico outfit.

According to Sportmediaset, Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini is now working around the clock to ensure the Bosnian striker makes his way to Serie A and agrees to make the switch to wear the red and yellow jersey.

Dzeko has had an indifferent time in England since joining the Citizens back in 2011. The 29-year-old has hit an impressive 50 league goals in 130 appearances yet has never seemingly convinced he is worthy of a regular starting shirt and could be ready for a move away from the Etihad Stadium.
