Juventus’ Fernando Llorente is reportedly Manchester United’s prime transfer target.

United are currently looking at a range of options to strengthen their striking department after Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao left the club.

According to English newspaper the Mirror, the Spanish international is the Premier League side’s main target as they look for a new forward.

Moreover United have apparently already spoken to Llorente, asking if he could update the United hierarchy if another club comes in for him.

United boss Louis van Gaal recently admitted the Red Devils were in the hunt for a striker but that their target was not “in the media”.

Llorente made 31 Serie A appearances for the Bianconeri last season scoring seven goals and creating one assist.
