Thai businessman Bee Taechaubol is set to complete his 48 per cent purchase of AC Milan in the coming days.
It was announced in early June that Taechaubol, commonly referred to as Mr. Bee, would take a minority stake in the Rossoneri, thus prompting a much-needed influx of cash to reinvest in the team and assist with its branding.
According to Tuttosport, Mr. Bee will be back in Milan on July 27 to complete the transaction that will be in the region of €485 million. Upon completion Mr. Bee will assume the role on the Board of Directors, with the responsibility of brand development in Asia.
Mr. Bee’s investment comes at a time where the club stands at a crossroad. AC Milan have missed out on European football for the past two years and fans have called for a change at the top.
AC Milan disappointingly finished the 2014-15 Serie A campaign in 10th, on 52 points.
