Muntari - AC Milan v BarcelonaThe agent of Sulley Muntari admits his client wasn’t a part of AC Milan’s plans for this season, hence why he was released from his contract with a year still left to run.

The 30-year-old Ghanian international was officially released by the Rossoneri on Tuesday, after a mixed three and a half year spell with the club.

Fabio Pastorello spoke to the Milan Channel, confirming that his client realized his time at the club had come to an end and chose to mutually terminate his contract.

Sulley is very attached to Milan, Galliani and the whole club, but he realized that his time at AC Milan finished and so he has come to this decision,” Pastorello said.

Muntari had realized that he was not included in the plans of the club, and therefore didn’t want to be a burden on the club.

“The future? Still nothing for now, there has only been contact with some teams. Sulley has great human qualities, he is an amazing guy.”
