The agent of Sassuolo defender Sime Vrsaljko has confirmed that his client would welcome a move to Napoli this summer if the clubs can finalise a transfer fee.
The Croatia international was believed to have already agreed a deal with the Partenopei, but negotiations between the two Serie A sides are still ongoing.
“The clubs are talking and there have also been discussions with other teams,” Giuseppe Riso told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“The boy has already made it known that he would welcome a move to Napoli, but that the clubs must reach an agreement.
“I deny that there is already an agreement with the Neapolitan club, we are still waiting.”
The 23-year-old joined Sassuolo from Genoa last July and made 21 appearances for the Neroverdi during the 2014-15 Serie A season.
Sassuolo would owe the Grifone 40 percent of any negotiated purchase price as part of the deal that initially brought the full-back to the club.
