New Juventus goalkeeper Neto hopes that his move to Turin can help him get into the Brazilian national team.
The 26-year-old joined the Bianconeri after his contract with Fiorentina expired in June, Neto first moved to Italy in 2011 from Atletico Paranaense and was a regular for the Gigliati but has been unable to break into the senior Brazil side.
“Playing in the national team is not easy,” said Neto at a press conference at Juventus’s training ground.
“I played two seasons in Florence where I felt good but still I never received a call-up.
“I thought that changing team could change something, maybe I can grow.
“I’m here to do my best.”
The former Brazil U-23 international also talked about his idols, saying that his father was an inspiration to him.
“My father was a goalkeeper in Brazil and wanted I to be like him as a child,” said Neto
“With his advice I have managed to succeed. ”
