New Juventus goalkeeper Neto has expressed his desire to grow as player at his new club.
The Brazilian left former club Fiorentina at the end of last season after refusing to sign a contract extension, instead preferring to join bitter rivals Juventus, a move which has heavily upset the Viola faithful, however, Neto believes that he made the right choice for his career.
“In Florence I experienced a difficult last few months,” Neto said, during his presentation.
“The only thing I can say to the fans is I had a wonderful time and I experienced some of the most important moments in my career at the club.
“But it was time to make a choice. I knew that a new team would change something, hopefully it will help me grow.
“My father was a goalkeeper in Brazil and I have always wanted to be like him.
“With his help and inspiration I have managed to grow and live this dream.”
