New Inter arrival Jeison Murillo is set to undergo surgery for a broken nose suffered on international duty last month.
The 23-year-old made his long-awaited €8 million move from Spanish outfit Granada official after his outstanding Copa America tournament with Colombia.
The new signing was quick to impress his new fans by cutting short his holiday to be present for Inter’s first training session of the new season.
Sky Sport 24 reveal that Murillo will undergo surgery on Wednesday, and will return to training next week with a protective mask on to prevent further damage.
Murillo suffered the broken nose during his nation’s impressive 1-0 victory over Brazil in the group stage, and played through the pain barrier against Peru and Argentina.
The Colombian made 19 appearances for Granada last term.
