Inter - KondogbiaNew Inter midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia has denied reports that he agreed to join AC Milan before moving to the Nerazzurri.

The French international decided on a near €40 million move to Inter from Monaco after speaking to coach Roberto Mancini and Kondogbia is determined to win with the Nerazzurri.

“The newspapers said I’d already agreed to sign for Milan but it’s not true.” the 22-year-old said as he was presented to the media at a training camp in Riscone.

“I spoke to the coach [Mancini] and he convinced me. I’m sure that Inter, with the plans they have, is the best club for me.

“I chose to come and play in Serie A because I think it’s an important step up in my career and because I believe it will help to improve me as a player.

“We are Inter and it’s only right that we should set out to win things.”
