Schalke sporting director Horst Heldt has announced that no official bid has been made by Juventus for German prodigy Julian Draxler.

The Bianconeri aim to land Draxler this summer in order to bridge the gap between their defence and attack after having parted ways with Carlos Tevez and Andrea Pirlo so far this season, however the Bundesliga outfit’s sporting director claims the Turin side are yet to make a bid for the youngster’s services despite talk of an imminent move.

“If Juventus really want Draxler then they will have to go ahead in negotiations,” Heldt said in an interview to the German newspaper, Kicker.

“At this moment in time we have not yet received an offer.

“All that has happened is that Juve asked us if they can speak with Julian, and so we allowed them to do so respectfully.”

Despite not having made an offer, reports suggest that La Vecchia Signora have opened contract negotiations with Draxler, with his demands said to be of around €5 million a season.
