Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has declared that the club need to sign at least a midfielder and a defender before the end of the transfer window.
The club have so far had little success in the summer market, having only signed Mario Suarez from Atletico Madrid and Gilberto from Botafogo .
“There is still a lot of time to go in the transfer market and we are confident that we will create a good team,” said Prade to SkySportItalia.
“We know that we need both a defender and a midfielder. Paolo Sousa [Fiorentina coach] has told us what he wants.”
Prade was also asked about the current situation regarding Mario Gomez’s potential move to Besikitas, as well as his possible replacement.
“Gomez’s move to Besiktas is still not completed. We will meet their representatives in Florence either tonight or tomorrow morning,” said Prade.
“As for a replacement, we will work with the coach and try to find one.
“We have some ideas for a replacement, but not a specific name. We will have to wait and see if he is an Italian.”
