Paris Saint-Germain have admitted that goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu may be sold, paving the way for Roma.

The French champions recently completed the purchase of German international Kevin Trapp, leading to increased speculation that Sirigu is on his way out of Parc des Princes. The Giallorossi have long been interested in the Italian, seeing him as a replacement for Morgan De Sanctis.

Current PSG coach Laurent Blanc has given Roma further hope of a deal, telling reporters, “We all know that competition between goalkeepers is more special than in other roles. We will see what happens in the next few days. We always try to take the best decision for all involved.”

The 28-year-old joined PSG from Palermo in 2011, going on to make 142 appearances for the Parisians. Since making his international debut in 2010, Sirigu has represented Italy on 14 occasions, including the opening fixture of the 2014 World Cup.
