Roma’s Mattia Destro is eager to join Fiorentina and could get his wish if Mario Gomez goes to Besiktas.

The Giallorossi have been trying to move on Destro all summer as they look to create funds to purchase Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko and Destro is keen to leave the Stadio Olimpico.

Destro seems determined to stay in Italy and according to Tuttomercatoweb, could move to Fiorentina if the Viola can shift misfiring Mario Gomez to Turkish side Beskitas.

The Italian international has been told by Roma coach Rudi Garcia that he is not in his plans for the upcoming season and Destro is now set on leaving the Giallorossi.

Destro has already rejected a number of offers this summer including from English side West Ham and Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.

The Giallorossi forward, spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan.

The Italian international was brought in to fire the Rossoneri into a Europa League place, however things didn’t go according to plan as he only scored three goals in 15 appearances.
