The Reds have since lowered their asking price for Balotelli, who is now reportedly valued at €10 million, however the Daily Mailreports that it could still potentially stand as an obstacle for negotiations.
“They told me that Mario was in Genoa yesterday,” Ferrero told reporters.
“He currently costs €10m, but with a discount I will wait for him with open arms.”
Last season the Italian International made only 16 appearances in Premier League, scoring one goal.
