Matteo Darmian ItalyReports from Italy are suggesting that Manchester United could secure versatile full back Matteo Darmian from Torino on Wednesday for €18 million.

Darmian has been linked with a move away from Turin for some time now with the Red Devils and Napoli linked. However, it looks like the Premier League side has won the race for the Italian international and a deal could be completed imminently.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the English side have raised their offer to €16 million plus €2 million in performance-related bonuses. The Granata are thought to be holding out for an extra €2 million, so the clubs are extremely close to working out a deal.

Manchester United have been trying to add depth to their squad this summer as they hope to challenge Chelsea for the title and have an impact in The Champions League.

Darmian made 33 appearances for Torino last season, 19 of them as a right wing back, however the defender can play at left back if necessary.
