Youngster Simone Verdi is ready to stay and fight for his place at AC Milan, after being re-signed by the club from Torino this month.
The 22-year-old Italian youth international was bought out by the Rossoneri after his co-ownership agreement went to the blind auctions.
Reports suggest that the player may be sold on for a quick profit or loaned out like he has been to Juve Stabia and Empoli in the past few seasons, but the player has other ideas.
“I grew upinMilan, so you can imaginemy reaction [when I got signed], I havegreat memoriesof theMilanello,” Verdi told Tuttosport.
“I thank Empoli and Sarri for two wonderful seasons. The idea is tostarttraining with thefirstteam, something I dreamed of as aboy hasfinallycome true.
