Serie A newcomers Bologna are hoping to bring both Sunderland’s Emanuele Giaccherini and Southampton’s Gaston Ramirez to the club, ahead of the 2015-16 season kicking off.
The latter previously enjoyed a two-year spell at the Rossoblu between 2010-12, during which time his performances attracted Premier League attention with Liverpool once being linked with a move for his services. His move to England, however, has not gone entirely to plan as he was loaned out to relegated Hull City during the 2014-15 campaign.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Delio Rossi’s side are hoping to add both players to the squad before the transfer market closes on August 31.
The aforementioned duo are just two names on a list of players linked with a move to Bologna, with AC Milan’s Antonio Nocerino, Inter’s Saphir Taider, as well as the seemingly Napoli-bound Cagliari midfielder Godfred Donsah being monitored by the club.
