Simone Pepe is close to sealing a move to Chievo after having been released by Juventus earlier in the summer.
The 31-year-old winger was let go by the Bianconeri after five injury hit years at the club and the former Udinese man will not have been without a club for a long period as the Gialloblu were quick to make their move to secure the tricky winger.
According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, Chievo have all but signed the player and all that remains is to make the deal official as Pepe has already undergone his medical over the past few days and the deal is expected to be announced very shortly.
Pepe joined Juventus from Udinese in the summer of 2010 and played regularly during his first two seasons under Antonio Conte before injuries took their toll as he made just three Serie A appearances over the course of the next two years. In his final Bianconeri campaign he mustered 12 league games.
