Mateo Kovacic to Real Madrid.

A deal to sign the Slovakian international appeared to be very close towards the end of June, only for the trail to go cold when the Nerazzurri seemingly chose to pursue other targets.

“Could the sale of Kovacic to Real [Madrid] reopen a deal with Inter? As long as the transfer window is open, anything can happen,” Duda told Polish outlet Przegladzie Sportowym, as reported by FC Inter News.

“I won’t close the door on any option.

“But now I’m focused on Legia, and for now I remain here.”

Duda also revealed just how close he was to concluding a switch to Serie A earlier in the summer, while stressing he is happy with current club Legia.

“I had my bags packed and I also bought an apartment. I was very close to moving,” continued the 20-year-old.

“I can’t lie and say that I wasn’t seriously considering a transfer to Inter.

“Then the negotiations hit a deadlock and it was hard for me to recover mentally.

“But I’ve always been happy at Legia, so there is no reason to discuss my situation with the club. What will be will be.”
