donati bayer leverkusenBayer Leverkusen’s Italian full-back Giulio Donati has admitted that Lazio will be tough to beat in their Champions League play-off round fixture.

The Aquile could have drawn Manchester United but have still been handed a difficult draw in Bayer Leverkusen who finished fourth in the 2014-15 Bundesliga.

“We have been given one of the most difficult draws, Lazio are a great team,” said Donati to Tuttomercatoweb.com.

“We knew this eventuality was a possibility and we will prepare to the best of our ability to continue our adventure in the Champions League.”

The former Padova defender also singled out Felipe Anderson and Antonio Candreva as Lazio’s main danger men.

“Anderson and Candreva are very, very dangerous, especially for our defence,” said Donati.

“However, it’s useless to talk about individuals, Lazio have been shown to have a very strong team, we have to prepare ourselves to the maximum.

“It should be a good game; tough and we’ll have to fight all the way.”

Donati was also asked whether he would be returning to Italy anytime soon.

“We are waiting to see if anybody creates a new situation, but for the moment there is nothing new,” said Donati.
