Empoli midfielder feels side didn’t deserve to lose against AC Milan

Empoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski was disappointed his side came away empty handed from the Stadio Meazza on Saturday evening, after their 2-1 defeat at the hands of AC Milan.

The Rossoneri may have picked up all three points, but the away side made things very difficult for the San Siro-based outfit, putting in an impressive display.

“We didn’t deserve to lose against Milan,” Zielinski told Sky Sport Italia after the game. “We are a good team and we play great football.

“We are on the right track and we need to carry on as we are.

“Our performance just lacked some know-how on the edge of their box because we created so many chances. We need to work on our shooting and our final ball.

“But the dressing room was upbeat because we know we put in a solid performance.”
