Fenerbahce are reportedly ready to enter the battle for Inter winger Xherdan Shaqiri in the final weeks of the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old, whose current contract with the Nerazzurri is set to expire in June 2019, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Milan side as of late with multiple clubs including Stoke City, Newcastle United and Everton all apparently interested in landing him, though it seems like there’s a chance of him ending up in Turkey for the 2015-16 campaign.

According to Fanatik, Fenerbahce are still looking to further strengthen their squad after making a few big purchases earlier on this summer, which included the buying of players like Robin van Persie and Nani, and would be very interested in adding the Switzerland international to their line up.

However, some reports suggest that the winger may be leaning toward a move to the Premier League as he was spotted in the stands during Stoke City’s 1-0 loss to Liverpool at home on Sunday.

Shaqiri, who arrived at Inter from Bayern Munich in January, scored one goal and provided two assists in his 15 Serie A appearances last term.
