Fiorentina are reportedly nearing a deal to bring Dnipro striker Nikola Kalinic to the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

The former Blackburn Rovers player has been identified by the Viola as an ideal replacement for Mario Gomez, who has been sold to Turkish side Besiktas earlier this summer.

As reported by gianlucadimarzio.comthe Serie A club have agreed a fee €5 million for the Croatian, with the only stumbling point being the arrangement of the payments to the Ukrainian side.

It is believed that this hurdle will be overcome sooner rather than later, with a deal expected to be reached in the coming days.

The 27-year-old managed to find the net four times in nine Europa League starts for Dnipro last year, playing against Serie A sides Inter and Napoli in the process.
