Fiorentina are set to complete a deadline day deal for Polish winger Jakub Blaszczykowski.
The 29-year-old was an instrumental part of the successful Borussia Dortmund team under Jurgen Klopp but has had his first-team opportunities limited over the last two years due to injury, he is also yet to feature under the German giants’ new coach Thomas Tuchel.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the winger is already on his way to Italy alongside his agent to complete an initial loan-deal to the Viola which will then be followed up by a permanent move next summer.
The signing of the Pole also means it is likely that Joaquin will leave Florence in favour of a return to La Liga at Real Betis.
Blaszczykowski joined Dortmund in 2007 from Polish side Wisla Krakow and among his honours during his spell in Germany include two Bundesliga titles.
