Roma winger Juan Iturbe after the two clubs struck a deal.

Iturbe has found himself pushed down the pecking order following assorted injury problems last term, plus the summer arrivals of fellow wide players Mohamed Salah and Iago Falque.

According to Sky Sport Italia, negotiations have reached a defining moment between Genoa and Roma over a season-long loan switch for the Argentine star, with the proposed move waiting to be officially rubber-stamped.

The former Hellas Verona attacker is set to leave the Stadio Olimpico only a year after he joined up with the Giallorossi, in a reported €20 million transfer.

Buenos Aires native Iturbe made 27 Serie A appearances last season, scoring two goals, but just 17 of those outings came from the start.
