Mandorlini - Hellas VeronaHellas Verona coach Andrea Mandorlini was proud of his side following their draw with Roma in the opening fixture of the 2015-16 Serie A season.

The Gialloblu took the lead in the game through Bosko Jankovic in the second half but his strike was cancelled out soon after by an Alessandro Florenzi goal as the season’s curtain-raiser ended 1-1.

“I am proud of the team,” said Mandorlini in an interview with Sky Sport Italia.

“For an hour we did well, very well.”

The Verona coach went on to discuss his goalkeeper Rafael who perhaps could have done better to keep out Florenzi’s long-range effort.

“The error is there and we accept it, but remember that he made some very important saves in other situations,” said Mandorlini.

The Scaligeri’s next Serie A game sees them travel to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris to take on Genoa.
