AC Milan striker Jeremy Menez has included in the side’s squad for their Coppa Italia clash with Perugia.

The 28-year-old was a doubt for this fixture, having undergone surgery on his back in June and not featured at all during pre-season.

The squad submitted by coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, however, includes Menez, who could potentially play a deeper role behind the two strikers.

Menez has only just returned to full training with the squad, but already finds himself battling with summer signings Luiz Adriano and Carlos Bacca for a first team spot.

Perugia, who were refounded in 2011 following club bankruptcy, have a host of former Serie A players in their roster including Gianluca Comotto, Davide Lanzafame and Rodrigo Taddei.

The fixture will also welcome Matteo Ardemagni back to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, having begun his career with the Rossoneri but never made an official appearance.

Milan 24-man squad to face Perugia: Abbiati, Diego Lopez, Donnarumma; Abate, Antonelli, Alex, De Sciglio, Ely, Paletta, Romagnoli; Bertolacci, Bonaventura, De Jong, Mauri, Montolivo, Nocerino, Poli, Suso; Cerci, Honda, Luiz Adriano, Matri, Menez.
