Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has declared that he is working on bringing in attacking reinforcements for the Nerazzurri.

The director responsible for player recruitment also said that coach Roberto Mancini already has enough options available to him in midfield and players will have to leave before additions are made to that area of the squad.

“We are still working on making some signings,” said Ausilio to Sky Sport Italia.

“Certainly there will be a new signing in attack, after the exit of [Xherdan] Shaqiri another player will have to arrive.

“A lot of players have been named but I can confirm only one of them and that is [Ivan] Perisic.

“There is a dialogue but there are significant differences between us and Wolfsburg.”

The sporting director also said that strengthening the midfield is not a pressing issue and sales will have to be made before new players are brought in there.

“Numerically and in terms of quality our midfield is in the right place,” said Ausilio.

“After making some departures we can start thinking about some signings such as [Galatasary’s Felipe] Melo.”
