Juventus and Inter target Lucas Leiva looks set to leave Liverpool for Besiktas.

It was believed that the two Serie A giants were looking at the Brazilian, who had been frozen out by manager Brendan Rodgers, as a possible addition for their respective midfields.

However, according to English tabloid Daily Mirror, Leiva is set to move to Istanbul on a season-long loan. The deal to be expected to be completed in next 48 hours.

Leiva has been let go by The Reds due to him being surplus to requirements as Emre Can is set to be club’s first choice defensive midfielder.

The 28-year-old has been on Merseyside for eight years after joining from Gremio and is in fact Liverpool’s longest-serving player.

Leiva has made 206 Premier League appearances for the Anfield outfit, scoring just on the one occasion.
