Juan Cuadrado - ChelseaChelsea wide-man Juan Cuadrado is getting closer to a switch to Juventus, as the Bianconeri continue their search for a new midfielder.

The Serie A champions have been in pursuit of the former Fiorentina winger throughout the summer, with the Colombian having failed to establish himself since moving to the English Premier League side in January.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 27-year-old’s agent was in London for talks with his client on Saturday, while Bianconeri sporting director Giuseppe Marotta has asked to be kept informed of any developments.

Furthermore, as relayed by Tuttomercatoweb, Cuadrado has been left out of Chelsea’s 18-man squad for their away match at West Bromwich Albion on Sunday, with a loan move to the Old Lady looking increasingly likely to happen over the coming days.

His place on the right-hand side has instead been taken by recent recruit Pedro, who joined the Blues from Barcelona earlier this week.

Meanwhile, Juve’s search for an attacking playmaker goes on, with Borussia Dortmund pair Ilkay Gundogan and Henrikh Mkhitaryan on their shortlist, along with Real Madrid star Isco.

Gundogan would reportedly cost €30m, which is roughly the same amount that has been placed on the table for long-term target Julian Draxler of Schalke.
