Juventus are ready to make an offer that meets the requirements set by Schalke for their young German international winger Julian Draxler.

The two sides have struggled to see eye to eye during the entirety of Juve’s pursuit of the 21-year-old with the Gelsenkirchen based side’s administration consistently announcing their unwillingness to sell the player.

According to the Wolfsburger Nachrichten, Juve are now set to raise their offer for Draxler although they may face competition for the player if Wolfsburg requirea replacement for in demand star Kevin De Bruyne.

The other options being discussed in the media, should Draxler not move to Turin, are Juan Cuadrado of Chelsea and Erik Lamela of Tottenham Hotspur who have both featured as outsiders for their Premier League sides last year.

Either way, it seems Juventus sporting director Giuseppe Marotta is on the case to sign a new midfielder for the Bianconeri.

Julian Draxler has made 117 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit and has 15 appearances and one goal with the German national team for whom he represented at the 2014 World Cup emerging a winner.
