Schalke winger Julian Draxler has admitted to being enticed by the prospect of playing for a club like Juventus, however, he believes nothing is in his hands.
The 21-year-old has been the subject of intense transfer speculation all summer, with the Old Lady leading the race to land his signature. Premier League giants Arsenal are also rumored to be interested in him.
“I’m happy for my performance, but certainly not for the result,” said Draxler, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
“My future? You need to ask the club. I can only say that for now I am a Schalke player and I’m happy here.” he continued.
Despite reiterating the fact that he’s happy with the German club, Draxler openly accepted that the situation could change before the transfer window closes.
“The situation could change by the end of the month,” he continued.
“But I repeat that for now I think about just playing for Schalke and to do it in the best way possible.
“It is undeniable that the interest from some big clubs has made me very happy.”
A youth product of Schalke, Draxler has notched up over 100 appearances for the German club since making his debut in 2011.
