Juventus have returned to Germany in their search for a new trequartista by making enquiries for Borussia Dortmund attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

With the departure of key trio Andrea Pirlo, Arturo Vidal and Carlos Tevez this summer rumours of the need for someone to provide the link between midfield and attack have been ongoing, with Chelsea’s Oscar also a reported target.

However, according to SportMediaset it is the 26-year-old Armenian who is now on the Bianconeri’s radar, although question marks over his fitness have left the club concerned with the Bundesliga outfits €25 million valuation.

With the club unlikely to return for Draxler, former Roma man Erik Lamela has also now joined the long list of potential suitors for the position.

Mkhitaryan moved to Dortmund from Shakhtar Donetsk in June 2014 amid interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs and made 42 appearances in all competitions last term scoring five times.
