Juventus have once again turned their attentions to Palermo’s attacking midfielder Franco Vazquez after becoming frustrated in their pursuit of other targets.

In recent weeks the Bianconeri have been working on a deal to land Schalke 04’s Julian Draxler and had appeared to be close to an agreement, however nothing has materialised and their efforts to sign Bayern Munich’s Mario Gotze also appear to have stalled.

As a result of failing to land their primary targets, Giuseppe Marotta, Juventus’ sporting director, is once again considering a move for the Rosanero’s Vazquez according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The club see the move as a perfect fit for the Argentine-born Italy international as they have already signed his former team-mate Paulo Dybala.

The 26-year-old has made 51 appearances in Serie A for the Sicilian outfit, scoring ten goals in the process.

He also played a part as the club secured the Serie B title in 2014.
