Israeli club Maccabi Haifa have rejected a bid from Fiorentina for left-back Taleb Twatiha due to the offer being too low.
La Viola coach Paulo Sousa has knowledge of Twatiha’s playing style after facing him while a coach for rivals Maccabi Tel Aviv in the 2013-14 season and he is considered to be one of the best players in the current squad.
As reported by Tuttomercatoweb, the Italians offered €1.5 million for his services but that bid was rejected as the Israeli Premier League club have asked for at least €2m.
Twatiha is currently a one-club man having joined Maccabi Haifa in 2009 and not moved away since.
He won the league with them in he 2010-11 season and has scored six goals in 150 appearance in all competitions since.
His current contract with Haifa ends in the summer of 2019.
