Edinson Cavani PSGEdinson Cavani would only return to Italy to play for Juventus, according to former Atalanta general director Pierpaolo Marino as they alone can guarantee Champions League football.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward has incessantly been linked with a return to Serie A this summer with both AC Milan and Inter reportedly keen on landing the Uruguay international, however Marino feels that the Bianconeri would be the only likely move for Cavani and that Massimilliano Allegri’s side have done the best business so far.

“Juventus remain in pole position [in the transfer window],” Marino told Corriere dello Sport, “Milan have finished their transfer business but are second, Napoli are third and Inter are missing something.

“Only Juventus can convince the top players, Cavani would go to play in Turin, top-end players don’t choose teams that aren’t regularly in the Champions League.
