Modena coach Hernan Crespo was happy with his side despite their 2-0 defeat to local rivals Sassuolo in the third round of the Coppa Italia.

The Canarini went down to goals from Diego Falcinelli and Antonio Floro Flores but Crespo saw positives in the performance of his Serie B side.

“I am happy with the performance,” said the Argentine after the game, as reported by Tuttomodenaweb.

“In the game we saw the difference between the leagues [Serie A and Serie B], but I repeat, I am genuinely very pleased with the performance.

“These guys gave everything.

“With this spirit we will win more than we will lose.”

Winners of the tie Sassuolo now progress to the fourth round to face Cagliari.
