Napoli midfielder Jonathan de Guzman is set to return to the Premier League, having agreed a deal with Sunderland.
De Guzman – who previously spent time in the Premier League with Swansea – joined Napoli back in 2014, after a successful spell at the Swans, winning the League Cup during his spell at the club.
According to gianlucadimarzio.com De Guzman has agreed terms with the club managed by compatriot Dick Advocaat, having turned down offers from Premier League newboys Bournemouth and Ligue 1 giants Marseille.
The Dutch midfielder played 23 times in Serie A for the Partenopei last season, scoring just three goals and contributing just the one assist for his teammates.
The Stadio San Paolo side had a disappointing campaign in 2014-15, eventually finishing 5th.
