jacopo sala veronaNapoli have turned their attention to Hellas Verona defender Jacopo Sala, as their chances of signing Sassuolo’s Sime Vrsaljko appear all but over.

The Partenopei are scouring the market for a full-back and despite being close to capturing the Croatian defender, news that the Neroverdi no longer wish to sell has forced Maurizo Sarri’s side to search for alternatives.

Tuttomercatoweb is reporting that the Azzurri are currently negotiating with the Gialloblu, who have set a €7 million asking price for Sala.  Napoli are working towards agreeing on smaller fee for the right-sided player and officials will be hoping to reach some kind of agreement soon.

The 23-year-old had a spell in the Bundesliga with Hamburg before making the move to Serie A and Verona in 2013.  He has since made 31 league appearances for the Stadio Bentegodi outfit, scoring on three occasions.
