New Juventus forward delighted with debut

Mario Mandzukic is delighted to have played his first game for new side Juventus.

The Croatian international scored the first goal in Juve’s 2-0 Supercoppa Italiana victory over Lazio in Shanghai and Mandzukic is confident ahead of the new season.

“I am really pleased to have made my debut for this great club,” Mandzukic told reporters after the game.

“The most important thing was that Juventus won.

“I believe in Juve and I am sure will we have a great season.

“I dont feel any pressure playing for Juventus.

“I have played at big clubs before like Bayern [Munich] so I am used to it.

“I have always respected and admired Juventus.

“From time to time there was contact between us but never a deal.

“I always wanted to play for the club and I am delighted to be part of the team.”
