chirichesNew Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri has been impressed with the quality of new arrivals Vlad Chiriches and Omar El Kaddouri.

Chiriches arrived at the Partenopei from English club Tottenham Hotspur, while the Moroccan El Kaddouri returned to Naples after a two-year co-ownership spell at Torino and it seems that both have made a positive impression on Sarri, with the former Empoli boss keen to give them more playing time.

According to Il Mattino, Sarri has been enthralled with Romanian international captain Chiriches’ leadership qualities, sounding him out as an ideal partner at centre-back for Raul Albiol.

Attacking midfielder El Kaddouri, meanwhile, has been seen as the perfect foil for striker Lorenzo Insigne.

Napoli will begin their Serie A campaign on away at Sassuolo, marking Sarri’s first competitive fixture on the Partenopei bench.

Chirches made just eight appearances for Spurs during the 2014-15 Premier League season while El Kaddouri played 30 times and scored three goals for Torino in the 2014-15 Serie A campaign.
