Whether it be a joke or an honest mistake, trouble may already be brewing for Roma‘s new Brazilian signing Gerson, after a photo was posted of him holding up his new team’s football shirt.
The player should arrive in Italy on Thursday to finalise his move and sign the documentation though won’t be eligible to play for the Giallorossi until January 2016.
However, the Twitter image below might well have been to show Roma fans affection towards the club but doesn’t the Brazil Under-20 international realise the top he is holding up bears the number already used by club legend Francesco Totti?
Gerson can probably expect a quiet word in his ear when he arrives at the Stadio Olimpico for his first training session, as nobody appears to have told him that the 38-year-old club captain has not hung up his playing boots just yet.
