Palermo target and Arsenal forward Joel Campbell looks set to stay at the Emirates for the time being following comments made by his agent.
The Rosanero have been in negotiations with the Gunners for the Costa Rican winger but have found concluding a deal difficult.
Speaking to Costa Rican newspaper La Nacion, Campbell’s agent Joaquim Batica said, “Joel is a player who is attractive to many clubs especially the teams of the major European leagues.
“With Arsenal we renewed his contract in January. After the loan with Villarreal, he has returned to the Gunners to fight for his place in the team.”
However, Batica did end the interview by saying a move may still be possible.
“For now he remains in London, but as I said he is one of those who is on the market.”
