Paris Saint-Germain full-back Lucas Digne has landed in Italy ahead of completing his move to Serie A side Roma.
The transfer has been in the works for quite some time now, with the Ligue 1 side initially holding off on confirming a deal until they could source a replacement. They have since given in and allowed the move to take place, as Roma have become more desperate to land a left-back following Ashley Cole’s exile from the squad.
Gianlucadimarzio.com report that the deal will cost the Giallorossi an initial €1.5 million for a season-long loan, while the club will have the option to make the move permanent for a fee of €16.5m.
Digne’s arrival at the Stadio Olimpico will likely prompt the release of Ashley Cole from his spell at the club.
The Frenchman joined PSG in 2013 from fellow Ligue 1 side Lille.
