Bayern Munich defeated AC Milan 3-0 in the Audi Cup at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night, thus sending the Italians to the third-place play-off against Tottenham Hotspur who were beaten by Real Madrid in the friendly tournament’s other match.

Juan Bernat opened the scoring thanks to an unfortunate Cristian Zapata deflection before Mario Gotze and Robert Lewnadowski added two more goals in the second half to hand Milan their third pre-season defeat in an experimental match for coach Sinisa Mihajlovic who almost replaced the entire starting line-up late on.
